Getting back into the swing of work can be tough after a long break, but the work of UK-based Cartlidge Levene is another reminder the power of great design. I’m really drawn to their MoreySmith identity, but be sure to check out their signage projects as well.

Last week’s New York Times Magazine marked the 15th annual Lives They Lived issue, which celebrates the life and times of 24 very different lives. Not only were the articles wonderfully written, but the typography of the magazine cover as well as headers were a beautiful, modern script with extreme thicks and thins illustrated by Nancy Harris Rouemy.

Personally, I get anxiety when I see too many folders on a desktop, so this minimal six grid desktop designed by Sarah France is the perfect solution. Download it and customize each section to your liking. Genius.

Paperwink is the duo of Tara Bokman and Darcey Shanahan and together they create some really beautiful stationary and invitations. This notecard is a part of their Telegram line that also offers matching labels, calling cards and a stamp. I was lucky enough to be able to work with these talented ladies at a former job and its great to see their own company blossoming. Oh, and they’re offering 15% off the entire website through December.

Shapeaspect is the work of New Zealand based designer and illustrator, Jeremy Evans. I’m loving the simplicity and graphic nature of this record packaging. Lots more goodies here.

I wish I had these alphabet blocks by Alexander Girard as a child. However, they’d probably be slobbered in drool and these are too beautiful that kind of treatment. Produced by House Industries, Alexander Girard was an extremely talented graphic designer, textile designer and illustrator. Say I love you with these blocks. Literally.
