To tie in with its centenary, Selfridges commissioned Wieden + Kennedy to create an A to Z of products of the future to fill its windows. Who wouldn’t want extra hours in the day clock or an airbag helmet in case of a bicycle disaster. Or maybe we can just stop time all together - let me know if you figure it out.

Holy shit, those crazy MIT kids are at it again. Enter your name and it searches the internet to create your online identity. Even tho some data was irrelevant, Apples and Owls ended up with some interesting categories. Thank you Aaron Zinman for this installation.

Kate Moross‘ work takes me back to Geometry class except her work is more interesting. I see some Equilateral triangles but no sign of Scalene or Isosceles.

In An Expression of the Inexpressible features international designers whose work showcases the current interactions of music and design. I’d totally go to this if I lived in Indianapolis.

Take a second and put on your plastic black rimmed spectacles and cast your vote for the People’s Design Award from the Cooper-Hewitt. There are some fine folks on there. It’s gonna be close and I know you have an opinion on design so make that contribution so you have the right to bitch and moan. Otherwise, I’ll get you some cheese (most likely gouda) for your whine and say later bro. Speaking of opinions, I have one. Oh and did I mention that National Design Week is October 19-25th? I’m already brainstorming geeked out design activities. uh VOTE! now.

He’s become a household name in infographics and well deserved at that. Music critic in graph form, Andrew Kuo makes brilliant charts and graphs of most often, concerts he’s attended. You can find his work in The New York Times as well as his blog, appropriately named, Emo + Beer = Busted Career.

Last weekend in New York, the much anticipated redesign of the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) was opened to the public. The new location is 2 Columbus Circle and not only was the architecture revamped, so was their identity. And I have to say, while there is an abundance of aesthetically pleasing, trendy design these days, its refreshing to see an identity that is progressive, conceptual and comprehensive. Michael Bierut and Joe Marianek of Pentagram were the brainchilds of their new look. See more here.

Damien Correll is a Brooklyn-based designer recently named one of The Young Guns by The Art Director’s Club. Congratulations! And after taking a peek at his work, its obvious he is nothing less than brillant. Above is a short children’s story (only 4 pages) by Susan McCrystal for the excellent children’s magazine, Anorak. The story is about a sad rainbow named Raymondo and his friend the wind.

Effektive is the work of Greig Anderson, a graphic designer that recently moved to Sydney from the UK. Very talented lad with typographic abilities that make most green with envy. But remember, envy is the pity of fools. So appreciate his awesomeness and then go create your own. A homage to the 80s, Anderson created these fun Cassette Badge Sets that even come in a cassette box. Purchase one here.
