PeoplesDesignAward

Take a second and put on your plastic black rimmed spectacles and cast your vote for the People’s Design Award from the Cooper-Hewitt. There are some fine folks on there. It’s gonna be close and I know you have an opinion on design so make that contribution so you have the right to bitch and moan. Otherwise, I’ll get you some cheese (most likely gouda) for your whine and say later bro. Speaking of opinions, I have one. Oh and did I mention that National Design Week is October 19-25th? I’m already brainstorming geeked out design activities. uh VOTE! now.

Everything is Ok

I recently acquired the Everything is ok activist kit from the nice people over at Mine in San Francisco. And although I have the strong urge to just keep it on my shelf to look at (it comes all contained in a can) that would be wrong. Very wrong considering the whole purpose of the kit is to inspire positive change with the dialog that you choose to create between the medium and the environment its in. So while you sit there and read this, I say, acquire a kit yourself and go out and do something with it and post your photos to their web site. It will be good for you. And I’ll keep you posted as to what I’ll be doing with mine.
