Hate to say but you could use a blow out (just kidding, your hair looks fabulous.) Drybar - a blow dry bar, opened recently in lovely Brentwood, California. Smart idea. Great identity. Perfect location.

Shout out to Alli & Cameron Webb! #thumbsup

Dowling|Duncan :: Web site launch

Today is an exciting day and it’s not because of the iPadness nor KFC’s Double Down, it’s my recent discovery of the work of John Dowling and Rob Duncan. Purveyors of design that withstands the test of time, it’s refreshing to see work that is simple and clean. These lads met at Pentagram London and since then have worked at studios including Mytton Williams and Frost Design before partnering up. Based out of London and San Francisco, I’ve been lucky enough to have a chance to work with the SF studio. Have a gander at their brand spankin’ new web site here.

Here’s a gem of a website that I’ve been tucking away because I adore it so much, I don’t want to share. Call it what you want, I suggest hoarding and/or being selfish, but I’m at a point in our relationship where I’m okay with letting you into my world of enchantment, also known as, Present & Correct. Enjoy.

Apples & Owls does not promote cigarette smoking….but with packaging as good as this, we can make exceptions. On second thought, I highly recommend Cigarette Juice instead. Anyhow, ASYL is responsible for art direction of these which not only make it easier to distinguish flavors, but instead of a flip top opening, they slide out from the slide. Skillionaire!

We heart The Curiosity Shoppe. (Yeah, me and about 60% of the female population in SF. And maybe 25% of males) They have a new exhibit up by Treatzone, another gem of San Francisco. I visited during their opening and yes, there was candy corn and Tecate. MmMmmmmm. And lovely ghosts painted on postcards.

The London 2012 Olympic pictograms were unveiled this week, representing each of the sports and disciplines.  SomeOne in London decided to design a silhouette version and a new ‘dynamic’ line drawing version, used especially for outdoor. What do you guys feel about this new look?
