You may be thinking, Royksopp is so old school Miss Apples and Owls. Even the Geico lizard is up on them already. Yes, this is true. However, a recent discovery of their video and their use of infographics for the video has altered my world. I’m in the datasphere and I can’t get out. (nor do I want to.)
I can’t sleep. So I’ve tried reading which usually always makes me tired, but now I’m up-to-date with The New Yorker and IDN Magazine. I’d try drinking warm milk, but unless it soy, I’ll still be up if you know what I mean. So now I’m on to YouTube-ing ridiculous videos. Try this one out too.
Nando Costa is the brainchild of Nervo TV, a design and animation studio based in Portland, Oregon. I got the opportunity to hear him speak and show his company’s work last week and I’m sure glad I did. I saw boobs, heard a song whose lyrics were boobs and a great animation for Zune with cupcakes. Pretty much made my day. The photo is of an animation sample of a small branding package created recently for Zune. Their approach was to connect various abstract associations to music and it turned out brilliantly. And they did the music. Those fancypants. Check out more here.
