We heart The Curiosity Shoppe. (Yeah, me and about 60% of the female population in SF. And maybe 25% of males) They have a new exhibit up by Treatzone, another gem of San Francisco. I visited during their opening and yes, there was candy corn and Tecate. MmMmmmmm. And lovely ghosts painted on postcards.

Confession: As a child, I’d check out the same book over and over again because I adored the way the stamped “Due Date” looked on the library cards. The book was on constellations and I’m still pretty keen on discovering Orion’s belt in the sky.

True story: Arian of The Greater Goods and Red Sweater gave me this lovely zine/to-do list by Brandy Fedoruk and I’m smitten. Because I enjoy presents, but mostly because its so similiar to me, its scary. And I thought the Native American Zodiac was accurate…

Sara Lai :: Lomo Tea

On foggy days I tend to drink Chai tea while afternoons are for Earl Grey with a dash of milk. Sara Lai’s got a new flavor, Lomo tea. Snapshots taken from her travels and put into handsewn tea bags, the only seeping done will be in memories. Cute idea though.

Ndeur + Make a Paper World :: Feet in Color

makepaper

I would imagine this being magical with rainbow lasers shooting out PEW PEW PEW! Or maybe it gives you super fighting powers (think Chun-Li, Streetfigher 2 - she’s badass, don’t F with her). Regardless Ndeur + Make a Paper World create tasty goodness from a simple medium, paper.

Out of all the craft booths I came across at the Maker Fair, My Imaginary Boyfriend’s was my absolute favorite. Why you ask?

1. Handmade silkscreened log pillows and log pin cushions

2. Brown bag beer cozies made of felt that come in two sizes: bottle & can

3. Quality materials.

4. A very sweet, non-aggressive owner/log connoisseur, Erika Kern

5. Even her “Mastercard/Visa Accepted” sign was hand-stitched out of felt.

1-5 = motherfucking win.

Check out her goods here.

Hypnotic. And no, I’m not referring to that nasty blue liquor.
