The small press shop, Little Otsu is 65% of why I moved to San Francisco, with 7% going to Scharffen Berger chocolates, 22% for graphic design and the other 6% shall remain unknown. I recently acquired the nifty transit-inspired calendar map on the right, illustrated by Lart C. Berliner and am trying to find the perfect spot at home to showcase it. I don’t consider a visit to San Francisco complete without visiting the quaint shop, Little Otsu. They’re artists, illustrators, publishers, designers, but mostly, purveyors of awesomeness goods. They produce stationary, cards, calendars, journals and my favorite item, the 3-in-1 planner illustrated by Lart Cognac Berliner. Why is it my favorite? Well, I think the name says it all. Instead of having to carry a separate notebook for sketches and one for notes, I get everything I need in one. There are lined pages, blank pages and pages that are split into quads for a to-do list. Amazing. And beautifully illustrated.
