We’re back folks and I hope everyone had a good few days off. In between stuffing my face with turkey and then changing into any garment with an elastic waistband, I also did a few eventful things. This includes: reading Stuff White People Like, then Stuff Asian People Like, reading some Hunter S. Thompson as well as watching Bum’s Paradise, then visiting the location where the documentary was filmed, the Albany bulb. I didn’t even know this place existed, but what a great discovery.

Basically, the Albany bulb is a stretch of land that extends off of the city of Albany into the bay. Originally it was a landfill, but a group of homeless people created a community living there for about 8 years before being evicted. The best part is the artwork they created while inhabiting the space, utilizing the scraps and trash to make sculptures and paintings, which still exists today and is ever-changing.
