The National is playing right this moment at Outside Lands in Golden Gate Park. What I would give to see them: a) one of my ovaries b) my highest acclaim bowling trophy, c) not eat candy for one week. or I could just stream it live from YouTube here.
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,
brown paper packages tied up with strings,
these are a few of my favorite thingssssssssssss.
The work of Gareth Morgan makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.
Scavenging for moving boxes tip #3: Go to grocery stores at 11PM while they’re restocking the cereal aisle and gank all the flattened boxes. One can only hope my clothes will smell like Cinnamon Toast Crunch once I’m done moving. I’m also considering making this snifty cardboard box cloud with the leftover boxes.
Picture this: a hot bath, you, some politicians, and strippers - a dream come true? Perhaps more suitable for a cup of tea. Democratea and Striptea make your morning a bit more interesting.
For some reason these illustrations remind me of the 80s board game Guess Who?
We know what you’re thinking, “Hey Apples & Owls, WTF is up with the images.” Yes, mistakes happen but these images are aesthetically pleasing. Over 900 contributions of unusual visual glitch artwork were made to complete this book. I kinda want this. Coincidently my half birthday is this Friday.
Holy shit, those crazy MIT kids are at it again. Enter your name and it searches the internet to create your online identity. Even tho some data was irrelevant, Apples and Owls ended up with some interesting categories. Thank you Aaron Zinman for this installation.
A pop-up calendar and data visualization all in one, AMAZING. Just one question for you Johann, how many paper cuts did you get? Regardless, it was well worth it.
Miike Snow pulls off the Jesus look quite well in this video for “Animal.” What a bangin’ track. Just for the record, I rarely refer to anything as “bangin’.” (A term that should only be used with sincerity.)
